October Work Day at the Colorado River Refuge

First Saturday Service Days at Back!

Come help maintain hiking trails at the Colorado River Refuge. This Pines and Prairies Land Trust property has beautiful trails covering a diverse landscape.

Moderate to light maintenance will include clearing overgrowth and leveling out tread. Please wear appropriate work clothes including long pants and sturdy closed-toed shoes.  Please bring your favorite tools – loppers, pruning saw, McLeod, trimmer, etc. (no chainsaws), as well as work gloves, sunblock, water bottle, etc.

We will meet at Cliffhanger Trailhead: 139 W. Riverside Dr.

Covid-19 Precautions:

To help prevent the spread of Covid-19 we ask that all volunteers wear a mask while within six feet of others and to bring your own tools if possible. We will have a few extra tools but be sure to bring your own gloves. Hand sanitizer will be available.

Note: Volunteers under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult and those under 18 will need parent or guardian sign PPLT’s volunteer waiver.
