Meet at the River Trailhead to walk the Dragonfly and Meadow loop trail together under the Harvest Moon. We will test out our heightened senses in the dark and let the moonlight help us place our steps while we listen for the owls, frogs and other nocturnal creatures that call the Refuge home.
This is a rare opportunity to experience the preserve and all her beauty after dark!
How to prepare: For your safety, please wear closed-toed shoes and bring water and a flashlight/headlamp for navigating tricky spots.
Facilities: There are no restrooms or drinking water at the Colorado River Refuge so come prepared!
