Sorry all, we had to cancel today’s class due to the tropical storm!
Join us at the Colorado River Refuge/Bastrop County Nature Park for a morning outdoors learning more about the macro-invertebrates that live in the Colorado River, such as crayfish, snails, mollusks and dragonflies! Get ready to splash in the water where we will be sampling with catch nets.
Our nature classes are geared towards ages 6- 16 and lead by our knowledgeable Lost Pines Master Naturalist volunteers. Classes are usually held on the third Wednesday of the month, with a break during the hottest summer months.
Pack a picnic lunch and stay after class for a summer social!
Logistics:
Please wear close-toed shoes and bring water and snacks or a picnic lunch!
Meet at the outdoor classroom: 375 Riverside Dr, Bastrop, TX 78602.
