Meet us at the Colorado River Refuge/Bastrop County Nature Park for a morning outdoors learning about Rocks and Minerals! Have you ever found a really cool rock that you just had to keep?? From sparkly crystals to rugged rocks - dig into the wonders of minerals and uncover the secrets of how the rocks we find today were once formed.
Our nature classes are geared towards ages 6- 16 and lead by our knowledgeable Lost Pines Master Naturalist volunteers. Classes are usually held on the third Wednesday of the month, with a break during the hottest summer months.
Logistics:
Please wear close-toed shoes and bring water.
Feel free to bring snacks or a picnic lunch!
Meet at the outdoor classroom: 375 Riverside Dr, Bastrop, TX 78602.
Try to arrive by 9:50 so we can begin promptly at 10:00. Classes go until approximately 12:00.
Plan to sign in when you arrive (Sign-in sheet includes liability waiver and photo release)
