We're excited to celebrate our incredible volunteers and members of our Prairie Partners monthly donor circle at a special appreciation event before our much-anticipated Star Party!
Our volunteers and Prairie Partners’ dedication and support are at the heart of our mission to conserve and restore the lands we all cherish. Whether through hands-on stewardship or ongoing financial contributions, they help protect the natural beauty of our Texas prairies and forests for future generations. This is a small way of showing our appreciation.
Activities Include:
Guided Forest Bathing: Reconnect with nature and recharge in the peaceful embrace of the Yegua Knobbs forest.
Taking it Easy on the Easy Knobb: Enjoy a gentle stroll along one of our favorite trails, and enjoy the view from the top of the Easy Knobb.
Yaupon Tea Ceremony: Experience a unique tea ritual honoring the Texas landscape.
Afterward, stick around for one of our most popular events — the Star Party — as we marvel at the beauty of the cosmos!
What to bring: Backpacks, water, blankets or yoga mats to sit on, and a favorite mug for the tea ceremony.
Facilities: there is no running water on the preserve, but we do have a composting toilet outhouse!
Parking: Park at the entrance to the Sandylands Trail or along the northern fence line
Registration: please register with the form below so we can prepare for the number attending and make sure you have good directions to the preserve. After registering, keep an eye out for an email with more details prior to the event.
