We are excited to open up Billig Ranch for an Open Preserve Day! Come celebrate Earth Day outside with your family or friends at our largest preserve with over 650 acres of woodlands, wildflowers, ponds and prairie restoration.
Timing: You are free to come and go as you please from 9:30am - 3pm.
Location: 208 Billig Ln, Paige, TX 78659
Directions: Turn onto Billig Lane from 144/Railroad Track Rd. You will drive down the lane for quite some time, pass through a gate, and turn left at the end of the lane and park near the barn. There will be a check in table where a board member will greet you. Billig lane is a gravel and dirt road, not paved. Please drive slowly.
To do: Explore the ranch, immerse yourself in nature and enjoy this beautiful spring! We will have maps available at check-in. You may want to bring binoculars for birding, bug nets, a kite, or picnic lunch. Dogs are always welcome! We ask that you keep your four-legged friends leashed for their safety and pack out any waste.
Facilities: There are no public restrooms or drinking water at Billig Ranch so please come prepared.
What to bring: Water, sunscreen, snacks. Please wear closed-toed shoes and plan to pack out all waste. Long pants are recommended.
Registration: Please register in the form at the bottom of the page so that we can prepare for your visit. Registration is free with a suggested small donation to support Billig Ranch and our nature programs. Donations are greatly appreciated but never required! After registering, keep an eye out for an email with more details prior to the Open Preserve Day.
