Christmas with the Civilian Conservation Corps at Bastrop SP

December 12th is a very special day at Bastrop State Park! From 10am – Noon in the Refectory we will be hosting Christmas with the Civilian Conservation Corps. This event is free of charge and entry to Bastrop State Park is free! We will have cookie decorating, ornament making, hot chocolate, coffee, and even a visit from Santa! In addition to the festivities inside, we will also have a Guided Hike departing from the Playground at 10am and another Guided Hike focused on the CCC departing at the end of the Christmas event at Noon. Stick around town for the Bastrop Parade of Lights where our float will make a second appearance! For a sneak preview that day, weather permitting, the float will be parked in front of the Refectory where participants are welcome to climb aboard and take a holiday selfie with our Lost Pines Picture Frame! Again, entry to the park is free for the day, but we will be collecting optional non-perishable food items, unopened toiletries and diapers that will be donated to the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry & Support Center in honor of the charitable work previously exemplified by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the holidays.
