Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering with us is an excellent way to actively contribute to our mission and make a tangible impact on local conservation efforts.
Pines and Prairies Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups, and corporations or businesses, both ongoing and sporadic.
Some positions are specialized and require particular talents, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Other positions only require a desire and willingness to volunteer. Individuals under the age of 18 must have written consent of the parent or legal guardian before they may volunteer.

Volunteer Roles
Trail Blazer
There is lots of work to do at Pines and Prairies’ three nature preserves and a limited number of PPLT hands, so we need YOU to help maintain the trails and native habitats. This position requires a greater level of commitment as the land is always growing and changing.
Pines and Prairies Events
We need enthusiastic volunteers to join us at events to share our mission with the public and talk about conservation.
Trail Tech Team
We are looking for individuals and groups with technical skills and equipment who can help us with special projects such as felling trees, removing invasive species, or building steps.
Admin Volunteer
If you would like to get involved but prefer to stay indoors or work on your own schedule we have a big need for you too! Admin volunteers help us with organization, mailings, marketing, and lots of other computer work. Let us know what your skills are and we would love to get you plugged in!
